Dr. Michele Andrews earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry and completed her residency in advance care at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. Her clinical career spans many years in multi-unit ophthalmology practices, LASIK surgical centers, retail, and private practice settings. Upon leaving clinical practice, Dr. Andrews assumed progressive leadership roles within the eye care industry at LensCrafters, EyeMed Vision Care and For Eyes Optical, ultimately joining CooperVision in 2015. In 2018 Dr. Andrews was awarded the Rodger Kame Award by the Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the American Optometric Association and was named one of Vision Monday’s Most Influential Women in Optical. In 2019 she was recognized by Women in Optometry with a Theia Award for her work in Industry. Dr. Andrews lives outside Chicago with her husband and two children.
