Dr. Amanda Nanasy is co-owner of The Eye Center of Pembroke Pines and Director of The Florida Institute of Sports Vision, where she specializes in sports vision assessment/training and neuro-optometric rehabilitation. She is a team physician for the Miami Dolphins, Inter Miami CF, Miami HEAT Check gaming and several NCAA programs including her alma mater, UCF. She is proud to be the first optometrist in Florida to have an exam lane in a hospital-based sports medicine clinic to work as a part of their concussion care team. Dr. Nanasy is Past-Chair of the AOA Performance Vision Board and in 2017, co-wrote and instructed the Sports Vision elective for NSUCO. Dr. Nanasy is a Sports Vision Pros partner with a career goal to help ensure through awareness/ education that vision care is an integral part of every sports medicine program.
Since 2011, Dr. Nanasy has served as an IDOC Member Director for Florida-facilitating over 120 practice management meetings. As an Alcon consultant since 2018, she has been a faculty member of the Ft. Worth and John’s Creek peer-to-peer education programs and was honored to help lead the launch of Precision 1 in the U.S. She is also an advisory board member for Neurolens, Thermamedx, ABB and a speaker for Allergan.
