Dr. Jennifer Zolman grew up in Eastern Ohio and earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from The Ohio State University before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in 2006. She is a Fellow of the Optometric Vision Development and Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA) and is the Owner and CEO of Draisin Vision Group in Charleston, South Carolina.

Dr. Zolman currently serves as Chair of the American Optometric Association’s InfantSEE and Children’s Vision Committee and as South Carolina’s InfantSEE State Leader. She is President-Elect of OVDRA and previously served as President of the South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association. She has been the South Carolina IDOC Director since 2011. Passionate about mentoring future optometrists, Dr. Zolman is an adjunct clinical professor for multiple colleges of optometry and serves as Residency Director for Vision Therapy/Pediatric Optometry in affiliation with Southern College of Optometry.

Dr. Zolman has received numerous honors, including American Optometric Association President’s Award (2025), South Carolina Optometrist of the Year (2021), Women in Optometry’s Theia Excellence Award in Leadership, the National Cooper Vision Best Practices Award, and multiple distinguished alumni and service awards. She has been featured in Vision Monday, AOA Focus, Charleston Living Magazine and regularly contributes to professional publications and media interviews.

Outside of practice, Dr. Zolman enjoys time with her husband Michael, their four children, and their dog, Luna. Her interests include coaching youth soccer, Girl Scouts, travel, outdoor adventures, and Ohio State football.
