Dr. Francessca Piedra is a European-trained licensed optometrist and licensed optician with over 15 years of experience in the optometric industry. A recognized leader in specialty contact lenses and myopia management, she was honored with the Award for Excellence in 2022 during her tenure with SynergEyes and Member of the year in 2024 while servicing as Education Chair for the Contact Lens Society of America. Dr. Piedra in honored to have recently been appointed the Vice President of Women in Eyecare.
Currently serving as a Specialty Senior Account Executive at CooperVision, Dr. Piedra partners with eye care professionals across Florida, Georgia and Alabama to implement innovative specialty contact lens solutions through hands-on education and clinical training. She is a Fellow of the National Academy of Opticianry, and an active member of the World Council of Optometry, Contact Lens Society of America, Hungarian Optometric and Opticianry Association, and Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology.
With experience spanning private practice ownership, ophthalmology management, product management, eyecare software development and industry leadership, Dr. Piedra is deeply passionate about education, innovation, and empowering the next generation of eye care professionals.
