Q:  Where is the conference located? 
A:  The conference will take place within the Crystal Gateway Marriott hotel. 
 
Q:  How much does it cost to attend?
A:  It's free for members and their staff to attend. For non-members, there is a $300 charge to reserve your space.  
 
Q:  What airport should I fly into?
A:  Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). This airport is 2 miles from the hotel and offers complimentary airport shuttle. 
 
Q:  How do I get to from the airport to the hotel?
A:  There is a complimentary airport shuttle. Follow signs from your terminal to hotel shuttles and wait for the Crystal Gateway Marriott shuttle. It picks up every 30 minutes starting on the hour. If you have any issues, call the shuttle phone, 703-920-3230.
 
Q:  I'm driving. How much is parking?
A:  Onsite parking is $39 daily. IDOC conference attendees will get a 15% discount.  
 
Q.  What is the hotel room rate?
A.  The room rate at the Crystal Gateway Marriott is $249 per night, excluding taxes. Click here to book your room now. 
 
Q.  Why should I stay at the event headquarters hotel?
A.  Discounted hotel rate, easy access to all event functions, and better networking opportunities by staying where your peers are staying! 
 
Q:  Can I bring a guest to the conference?
A:   If your guest is an OD or staff member, please have them register for the meeting. Any other guests not associated with an optometric office are not allowed to attend the conference but are welcome to attend any afterhours events or receptions. 
 
Q:  What is the Optical Women's Association Event?
A.  As a gold level sponsor of the Optical Women's Association, IDOC is partnering up at The Connection DC to host an evening event on Friday, October 11th from 6-8pm. Drink and hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Join us as we come together to build relationships, stay connected, and share experiences and professional advice about the industry. 
 
Q.  What can I expect at the IDOC 20th Year Anniversary Celebration?
A.  Stop by the Skyview Terrace to join us in celebrating IDOC's 20th year in business. Enjoy drinks, hors d'oeuvres, music, networking and more! 
 
Q.  When will the breakout courses be announced? 
A.  The detailed agenda will be released soon. Stay tuned! You will receive notice of its release via email if you have already registered. 
 
Q.  Do I need to pre-select the courses I want to attend?
 A.  All course attendance is flexible, with the exception of Roundtables which must be selected in advance.   
 
Q.  How can I stay up to date and make advance plans with my peers?

Q:  Is there childcare provided?
A.  At IDOC, family matters, as a part of our ongoing commitment to our members, we're offering free daily childcare while you're attending The Connection. Space is limited, so be sure to register today. You will be able to select this as an option within your registration. 
 
Q:  What should I wear?
A:  Most attendees dress in business casual. The meeting rooms can get cold, so bring a jacket.
